JAKARTA. Oct 31 (Interfax-AVN) - Indonesia plans to buy 32 Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jets, Herry Bhakti Gumay, the general director of the Indonesian Transport Ministry's air services department, has announced.

Indonesia's Kartika Airlines has ordered 20 regional Superjet 100's already and Sky Aviation another 12, he said during a visit to Jakarta of a Russian governmental delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov, according to the Indonesian news website Media Indonesia.

Indonesia hopes these orders will inspire Russia to look at the Indonesian market as a promising one, he said.

A joint working group has been set up to develop the project, comprised of officials with the PT Dirgantara Indonesia state air company and the Russian company Sukhoi. Deliveries will begin in 2013, Gumay said.
