Russia won't backtrack on INF treaty - Rogozin

MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - The set of measures voiced by President Dmitry Medvedev in response to the creation of the American missile shield is sufficient, and Russia does not plan to pull out from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), said Russia's NATO Ambassador Dmitry Rogozin.

"The set of measures voiced by the president is exhaustive and includes everything that is needed to guarantee overriding and suppressing missile defense means if they are turned against the Russian strategic nuclear forces," Rogozin said at a news conference at Interfax on Wednesday.

"If the president believed that something needs to be done about small ad medium range missiles, he would have spoken said about that," he said.
