Dzhioyeva guarantees security to Kokoity if S. Ossetian Supreme Court finds election legitimate

TSKHINVALI. Nov 30 (Interfax) - South Ossetian presidential candidate Alla Dzhioyeva has told journalists she guarantees incumbent President Eduard Kokoity and his family security in case the Supreme Court reverses its decision on invalidating the November 27 election outcome.

Dzhioyeva said Kokoity had promised at a meeting with her to invite the Supreme Court chairman and discuss this decision with him.

Dzhioyeva's supporters are continuing a rally in front of the South Ossetian government headquarters, despite a heavy snowfall. They are demanding that the Supreme Court chairman come out to meet with them.

The government compound has been cordoned off by police, who are trying to maintain public order.
