BRUSSELS. Dec 7 (Interfax) - The December 8 meeting of the NATO-Russia Council at the level of foreign ministers will not discuss a possibility of holding a Russia-NATO summit in Chicago in May 2012, Russia's envoy to NATO Dmitry Rogozin said.
"One should respect Russia and its democratic procedures. We will have the presidential election in March 2012. President will be elected, and he will decide on whether to take part in such a summit or not judging by the situation that will be in and around Russia," Rogozin said.
It is useless to discuss prospects for Russia's participants in the Chicago summit before the new president is inaugurated, he said.
