MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax-AVN) - A Proton-M launch vehicle with a Briz-M booster and the Dutch SES-4 (NSS-4) satellite aboard will take off in the early morning hours of Sunday. The initial launch date was December 26, 2011.
"The launch is planned for 11:23 p.m. Moscow time on January 28," the Khrunichev Space Center website said.
The takeoff of a Proton-M launch vehicle with the Sirius FM-6 satellite aboard was scheduled for January 29 from Baikonur. But the delayed launch of the SES-4 satellite has also postponed the Sirius FM-6 launch until February 20.
Earlier reports explained the delayed launch of the SES-4 satellite with Briz-M technical problems.
The SES-4 satellite was built on the FS 1300 platform. It carries C transponders for the transmission of video signal, governmental communication and VSAT data.
