MOSCOW. Jan 27 (Interfax) - Russia sees no grounds for unilateral concessions in missile defense dialogue with the Untied States, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Ekho Moskvy radio on Thursday.
"Our partner's position has 'ossified', so in these conditions we see no grounds for any initiatives that could be perceived as Russia's unilateral concessions in response to U.S. demands," he said.
He was skeptical about the possibility of achieving progress in the near future.
"The existing difficulties give me no reason to conclude that we will soon achieve understanding… Our positions differ".
At the same time, he disagreed that the talks were in deadlock.
"I don't like this word in principle, because there is always a way out of any deadlock," the deputy minister said.
