KOROLYOV, Moscow region. Jan 30 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian resupply spacecraft, Progress M-14M, docked with the Pirs module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station on Saturday, the space mission control told Interfax.
"The docking passed in an automatic mode," it said.
The approach and docking procedures were shown on a giant screen at the main control room.
After completing a pressure leak test and equalizing pressure between the spacecraft and the station, the ISS crew will open the hatches.
A Soyuz-U launch vehicle carrying the Progress M-14M was launched from the Baikonur space center at 3:06 a.m. Moscow time on January 26.
The spacecraft has delivered 2,669 kilos of various cargos to the ISS, including fuel, compressed oxygen, water, food rations, equipment for scientific research and experiments, and parcels for the crewmembers.
The Expedition 30 crew, which is currently working on board the ISS, includes Dan Burbank, Anton Shkaplerov, Anatoly Ivanishin, Oleg Kononenko, Andre Kuipers, and Don Pettit.
