Terror attack rates up 20% in Russia's Central Federal District in 2011 - Chaika

MOSCOW. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika has said he is troubled by the extent of Russian transport facilities' protection against terrorist attacks.

"The state of facilities' protection against terrorist attacks is a matter of concern, especially the protection of transport facilities. Six terrorist acts were registered on the territory of the Central Federal District last year. It is 20% more than in 2010," Chaika said in Moscow.

The explosion at Domodedovo Airport outside Moscow stood out among all of the other terrorist attacks staged in 2011, he said.
