All arrested Quba demonstrators released

MOSCOW. March 2 (Interfax) - All those arrested during mass riots in the Azeri town of Quba have been released, local media outlets said.

The remaining 14 Quba residents, who were arrested by police on March 1, have been released. They were met with jubilation. Before that the police released eight people, the local media said.

After the final release, Azeri Parliament member Vakhid Akhmedov asked the assembled to disperse, having promised that the authorities will pay attention to all the existing problems.

After the arrested people came out of the police station, hundreds of citizens awaiting them started to leave. The Internal Troops left the square in front of the police building shortly afterwards.
