MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry will hold an international missile defense conference on May 3-4 and the defense ministers of NATO, Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and CIS member states are invited to attend, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov told foreign military attaches in Moscow on Thursday.
"The day before yesterday the Defense Minister signed personal invitations to the defense ministers of NATO, CIS and CSTO member states, as well as China, India, South Korea and other countries to attend this conference," he said.
The Russian Defense Ministry decided to invite to the conference "the best missile defense specialists from many states," Antonov said.
NATO leaders were asked to attend the conference at least on May 3, "the day of missile defense debates," he noted.
