China-U.S. strategic dialogue round due in Beijing in early May - Chinese Foreign Ministry

BEIJING. April 23 (Interfax) - The fourth round of the China-U.S. dialogue on strategic and economic affairs will take place in Beijing on May 3-4, 2012, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Liu Weimin told a Monday press briefing.

Special Representative of Chinese President Hu Jintao, Vice Prime Minister Wang Qishan and State Councilor DAI Bingguo will represent China at the meeting. Their U.S. counterparts will be Presidential Envoy, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner, the diplomat said.

"The sides will have a detailed discussion of further implementation of the bilateral partnership and cooperation agreements between the two chiefs of state, macroeconomic cooperation and important global economic affairs, promotion of practical cooperation in various spheres and closer contacts in international and regional problems," he said.
