No one proved that Iran is making nuclear bomb - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Defense Ministry believes that it is premature and incorrect to speak about a missile threat from Iran, Sergei Koshelev, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry's international military cooperation department, said.

"Defense Ministry experts believe that such nuclear missile attacks are not possible in the foreseeable future," Koshelev told Ekho Moskvy radio responding to a question as to whether the threat of a missile attack on European countries from Iran is real.

The official said the development in some countries, including Iran, of missile technologies is a challenge to international security.

"However, I believe that it is premature and incorrect to say now that, for example, the Iranian administration has made a political decision or may make a political decision in the foreseeable future to carry out a missile attack on Berlin, Rome, or Paris," Koshelev said.

"Iran wants to develop mutually profitable cooperation, primarily trade and economic cooperation with European countries," he said.

"In general, no one has proved that Iran is indeed working on a nuclear bomb," the official said.
