Russia, China see eye to eye on many international problems - Putin

MOSCOW. June 5 (Interfax) - Russian-Chinese cooperation is key to maintaining stability around the globe, Russia's President Vladimir Putin said.

"The strategic partnership of Russia and China is an efficient factor that strengthens regional and global stability," Putin said in his article published in China's Renmin Ribao.

The two countries see eye to eye on a majority of crucial international problems, he said.

"They include strategic stability, disarmament, the nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction and responses to the whole range of threats and challenges facing the sustainable development, life and wellbeing of our citizens, among them terrorism, separatism, organized crime and illegal immigration," the Russian president said.

"The positions of Russia and China practically coincide on all of these topics and are based on the principles of responsibility, commitment to the fundamental values of international law, as well as the unconditional respect toward each other's interests. That is why it is easy for us to find common ground and develop a common tactic and strategy," Putin said.
