ASTANA. June 8 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan participates in a uranium enrichment project based on Russia's Novouralsk plant, Rosatom head Sergei Kiriyenko told reporters after Russian-Kazakh top level talks on Thursday.
The case in point is a commercial project to create a uranium enrichment center in addition to the already existing international project run by Russia and Kazakhstan.
"We have crated one more commercial project - a center for uranium enrichment," he said.
The new center will be based on the premises of the Novouralsk facility.
"Everything is ready for this center. All terms have been coordinated," Kiriyenko said.
