MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - Two improvised explosive devices have been defused in the Republic of Ingushetia in Russia's North Caucasus in the past 24 hours, a source in law enforcement agencies told Interfax on Friday.
The first bomb, which contained the equivalent of six kilograms of TNT, was found near a food store on the outskirts of the town of Karabulak in the Sunzha district.
It consisted of an iron bucket filled with a mixture of ammonium nitrate and aluminum powder, pieces of metal, an electric detonator and a mobile phone, the source said.
The bomb was disposed of at the site.
Another explosive device, made from a shell for a RPG-7 grenade launcher, an electric detonator and a mobile phone and filled with pieces of metal, was spotted near the Caucasus motorway on the outskirts of the village of Gazi-Yurt in Ingushetia's Nazran district.
It contained the equivalent of 300 grams of TNT.
