ROSTOV-ON-DON. June 9 (Interfax) - A light plane has crashed in the Belokalitvinsky district of the Rostov region while spraying areas under crops with chemicals, the press service for the Southern Investigations Department on Transport of the Investigations Committee told Interfax on Saturday.
"The plane was making unauthorized flight in the area," the source said.
The light plane SP-30 is owned by a private company, the source said.
According to earlier reports, the plane crashed near the populated area of Grachi around 8:40 a.m. A 48-year old pilot was killed in the crash.
