Over 50 kilograms of amphetamine seized in Perm

PERM. June 9 (Interfax) - The Perm territorial department of the Federal Drug Control Service has liquidated a drug lab in Kizel and seized more than 52 kilograms of amphetamine.

"A drug laboratory operating in a private house was liquidated. Drug control officers seized more than 52 kilograms of amphetamine," the department reported on Saturday.

They also seized chemicals and reagents.

"The laboratory had been operating for about six months. The black market cost of a drug gram is 1,000 rubles," the department said.

Two local residents were detained on suspicion of making the synthetic drug. A criminal case of the illegal production and selling of narcotics was opened, with the maximal punishment of 20 years.
