MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax-AVN) - Rosoboronexport will announce new accords with French defense plants at the Eurosatory 2012 show, Rosoboronexport Deputy General Director Igor Sevastyanov said.
"France is an important partner of Rostekhnologii and Rosoboronexport in Europe. We are implementing plenty of military-technical cooperation projects with the leading French industrial corporations, among them Thales, Safran, Sagem and most of the EADS Concern organizations," he told Interfax-AVN.
The Vologda Optical Mechanical Plant opened a center to repair and service Thales Optronique Catherine-FS thermal imaging cameras in 2008 and started the licensed production of the cameras later on.
The first defense joint venture in Russia was formed in 2011 jointly with Sagem to make laser inertial navigators, Sevastyanov said.
"We will make further progress. New agreements with leading French defense plants will be announced at Eurosatory 2012," he said.
Sevastyanov will lead the unified delegation of Rostekhnologii and Rosoboronexport to the Eurosatory 2012 show in Paris on June 11-15.
