Main Headquarters of Russian Navy will move to St. Petersburg in September - source

MOSCOW. June 19 (Interfax-AVN) - Vice-Admiral Viktor Chirkov, commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, has scheduled the move of the Main Headquarters of the Russian Navy to ST. Petersburg for the first half of September, the Main Headquarters of the Russian Navy told Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.

"During his recent visit to St. Petersburg, the commander-in-chief studied the preparations for the move of the Main Headquarters from its building in the Moscow Bolshoi Karetny Pereulok," the source said.

The source said Chirkov "criticized the level of readiness of the Admiralty to receive the Navy administration bodies, gave specific instructions to correct flaws, and ordered the move of the Main Headquarters in the first half of September."
