BAIKONUR. July 3 (Interfax) - The launch of the Proton-M was put off from July 7 until July 9 after an error made by the crew that was repairing the first stage was uncovered, a spokesman for the Khrunichev space corporation at Baikonur told Interfax on Tuesday.
"Workmen accidentally dropped foreign objects into the empty oxidizer tank. It took experts more than 24 hours to discover and remove the objects. Therefore the launch was rescheduled from July 7 until July 9," he said.
Additional checks were made due to the error, he added.
