FARNBOROUGH, UK. July 11 (Interfax-AVN) - The Defense Ministry did not request a license from the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation to allow the Russian aerobatic team, Russian Knights, to take part at the Farnborough International Airshow 2012, the agency's Deputy Director Vyacheslav Dzirkaln told reporters.
"Why should we issue a license if no one has applied for it?" Dzirkaln said at the Farnborough airshow on Wednesday.
To prevent a repeat of this situation, the agency's senior officials held talks with the Russian Defense Ministry, suggesting that the right of Russian aerobatic teams, Swifts and Russian Knights, to take part in foreign air shows be reflected in official documents.
