YALTA. July 13 (Interfax) - Ukraine and Russia need to coordinate legal details before signing a treaty on border delimitation in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
"The case in point is not an agreement on the division of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. We are not dividing either the Black Sea or the Sea of Azov," Putin told reporters in Livadia following the fifth session of the Ukrainian-Russian Interstate Commission.
The Foreign Ministries of Russia and Ukraine have reached basic agreements on how the border delimitation should be conducted in the interests of both countries, the Russian leader said.
The essence of the joint statement signed during the session is that the drafting of the border delimitation treaty should be brought to its logical completion, Putin explained.
