MURMANSK. July 13 (Interfax) - The dry cargo carrier Alaed, which transported helicopters refurbished for Syria in June, has left Murmansk Port under Russia's flag and is heading to Kaliningrad, a Murmansk Port administration spokesman told Interfax.
"The vessel sailed out of [the port] on July 10. It is heading to the Baltic region, to Kaliningrad," he said.
The Alaed is now a Russian-flagged ship, the spokesman said. The flag was charged at Murmansk Port, where the vessel arrived on June 25.
The Far East's company FEMKO, which owns the Alaed, said earlier that the vessel was expecting the charterer's further instructions regarding the readiness of his other supplies.
The vessel will then head to Vladivostok, FEMKO said.
The Alaed was stopped off Scotland's coast in June after UK insurer Standard Club said it had severed the contract and accused the vessel of delivering weapons to Syria.
