MOSCOW. July 16 (Interfax) - A road accident occurred in the Rostov region, involving a vehicle of regional police chief Vyacheslav Chuprunov, as a result of which the policeman has been killed, the Russian Investigative Committee said on Sunday.
"At around 4:20 p.m. on July 15, 2012, a Suzuki motorcycle driven by the Rostov-on-Don police chief collided with a Kamaz vehicle on the 26th kilometer of the Rostov-Stavropol highway," the Russian Investigative Committee said on its website.
As a result of the collision the city police chief died at the scene.
