MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - A responsive unit will be set up within the Council for Ethnic Relations with the president to prevent ethnic conflicts, the website of the daily Izvestia says.
"The Council for Ethnic Relations is beginning to divide zones of responsibility and set up a division that will comprise specialists on ethnic issues who will work to prevent and stop ethnic conflicts. Outside experts will be invited to join respective mobile teams," the article says quoting a source on the presidential administration.
Gajimet Safaraliyev, a member of the Council for Ethnic Relations and chairman of the State Duma Committee for Nationalities' Affairs, told the daily that the council held a session that decided on the formation of five mobile working teams.
"They will consist of council members and invited specialists and experts. The teams will be in charge of various issues - migration, harmonization of ethnic relations, prevention of ethnic conflicts, legislation.
