Two policemen detained in Ingushetia on suspicion of arms trafficking

PYATIGORSK. Oct 23 (Interfax) - Two policemen were detained in Ingushetia on Tuesday morning on suspicion of involvement in illegal weapon sales, the press service of the North Caucasus Federal District's Police Department told Interfax.

"Two policemen were detained at about 6 a.m., Moscow time. The detention was ordered after police agents made three evidentiary purchases of five pistols with silencers from March to October," the press service said.

Searches are being conducted in the detained policemen's apartments.
