Progress M-17M with Soyuz-U rocket installed on Baikonur launch pad

BAIKONUR. Oct 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The Progress M-17M cargo spaceship attached to a Soyuz-U rocket was installed on Baikonur's first launch pad on Monday morning.

"Federal Space Agency units are fulfilling the first pre-launch date program. General tests will take place in the evening to simulate the work of rocket units and systems in takeoff and flight until separation of the spaceship," a Space Center source told Interfax on Monday.

The launch is scheduled for 11:41 p.m. Moscow time on October 31.

The spaceship will take 2.5 tons of cargo - food, water, oxygen, research instruments and equipment - to the International Space Station (ISS).
