KYIV. Oct (Interfax) - The NATO Parliamentary Assembly hopes that criticism of Sunday's parliamentary polls in Ukraine will give democratic reforms a new boost.
The disappointment that can be felt in the assessment of the election will hopefully push politicians toward deeper democratic reforms in line with the wishes of Ukrainians, head of the NATO PA delegation Assen Agov told reporters in Kyiv on Monday.
This assessment refers both to the voting day and the entire election campaign, he said, adding, however, that the voting itself was well-organized and the turnout was high.
