MINSK. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has confirmed that Russia and Belarus are discussing various defense plans, including missile defense.
"We have a high-level group for the military-industrial complex that gathered in Minsk recently. This process is being perfected and our joint defense plans are being updated, including the one you have mentioned," Lavrov said at a news conference in Minsk when asked about Russian-Belarusian cooperation in missile defense.
"Russia and Belarus are allies not only as members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, but also within the Union State," he said.
