YEREVAN. Nov 6 (Interfax) - Armenia's membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization and its cooperation with NATO are not a contradictory occurrence, said U.S. Ambassador to Yerevan John Heffern.
There are no elements of competition in Armenia's cooperation with NATO and with the CSTO, he told reporters on Monday after a seminar during NATO Week in Yerevan.
The Cold War is a thing of the past, he said.
Armenia and Russia are partners, while all CSTO members, including Russia, are partners with NATO, the U.S. Ambassador said.
