Defense Ministry aircraft should be repaired by producers - Shoigu

MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Defense Ministry aircraft equipment should be repaired by manufacturers.

"Civilian equipment is provided to companies and that, naturally, leads to equipment maintenance relations. The Defense Ministry should have its own absolutely clear systems," Shoigu told the government.

"We should not want to do it. We would like everything that involves capital overhauling and service life extension, including for equipment, to be done by manufacturing plants," Shoigu said.
