Russia proposes UN Security Council make statement on Damascus bombing

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Russia has proposed that the UN Security Council make a statement on the terrorist attack committed in Damascus.

"The UN secretary-general promptly condemned another bloody terrorist attack committed by militants in Damascus. It is now the UN Security Council's turn, which is also supposed to react to such events," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said on Twitter.

"Russia has proposed passing a relevant statement," he said.
