Russia proposes UN Security Council make statement on Damascus bombing (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Russia has proposed that the UN Security Council make a statement on the terrorist attack committed in Damascus.

"The UN secretary-general promptly condemned another bloody terrorist attack committed by militants in Damascus. It is now the UN Security Council's turn, which is also supposed to react to such events," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said on Twitter.

"Russia has proposed passing a relevant statement," he said.

A series of terrorist attacks was committed outside Damascus on Wednesday. Two suicide bombers driving vehicles staffed with explosives set them off on a square, killing 34 and injuring 83 people on the spot. The unidentifiable remains of 10 more people were found as well.
