MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Russia hopes that the United States and Israel will not rush to suspend aid to Palestinians after a planned vote on a higher UN status for Palestine, due on Thursday, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said in response to an Interfax question.
"I think they will take a balanced approach to this issue. I think that everyone should expect them to refrain from hasty and destructive decisions because support for the Palestinian leadership is in the interests of both Palestine and Israel and the entire international community," he said.
