MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Representatives of the internal Syrian opposition has asked Russia to force the current Syrian regime to cease bombing Syrian cities.
"We asked Russia to demand an end to bombing of Syrian cities [by government forces]," Haytham Manaa, a coordinator of the opposition National Coordination Committee abroad, said on Thursday.
Asked how the internal Syrian opposition viewed Bashar Assad's future, he said: "We are talking too much about Bashar Assad, while 50,000 people have been killed in Syria and there are 500,000 refugees. We are not interested in Bashar Assad's destiny. We are interested in how to stop the bloodshed. The main thing is to do away with dictatorship," Manaa said.
