OSCE stays aside from key processes in Euro-Atlantic, Eurasian regions - Lavrov

DUBLIN. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has accused some OSCE member countries of non-partner actions, which leads to new lines of division and attempts to use control over armaments in Europe for political purposes.

"The OSCE stays aside from key processes in Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian regions, while the objective need for consolidation of our countries through common tasks and interests bumps into non-partner actions, which lead to the deepening of old and the appearance of new division lines in disagreement with OSCE fundamental principles," Lavrov told a plenary meeting of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers in Dublin on Thursday.

"The commitment of the Charter for European Security not to strengthen one's security at the expense of the security of others is not being implemented either. This is particularly evident in European missile defense plans," the minister stressed.
