Six Su-35S fighter jets transferred to Russian Defense Ministry (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax-AVN) - The Sukhoi company has transferred six Su-35S multirole fighter jets to the Russian Defense Ministry, Sukhoi said in a press release seen by Interfax-AVN on Friday.

"Documents accepting the airplanes were signed at the Gagarin Aircraft Production Association in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, which is a member of the holding. The Sukhoi company fulfilled the state contract on this type of airplane for 2012 completely," it said.

The fighter jets will arrive at their bases in the near future, it said.

Su-35 is a profoundly modernized super-maneuverable multirole fighter of generation 4++. The jet incorporates fifth-generation technologies, which make it superior to fighters of a similar class.

Su-35 has new avionics based on a digital data control system, a new radar system with phased antenna array and capability of long-range target detection and a bigger number of simultaneously locked and destroyed targets, and new engines with enhanced thrust and thrust-vector control.
