MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Three units of the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces will switch to fifth-generation missile systems in 2013, forces spokesman Capt. Sergei Shorin told Interfax-AVN.
"The re-arming of the Novosibirsk and Kozelsk rocket units with the new missile systems will continue this year. The re-arming of the first regiment of the Tagil rocket unit will start," he said.
"Besides, Irkutsk and Yasny rocket units will prepare to shift to new missile systems in 2013," he said.
"The state armament program for 2011-2020 stipulates the creation of new missile systems, including heavy ones," the source said.
