MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax) - The quality of exported Russian military products is improving, Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service head Alexander Fomin said on Monday.
"I must say that an improvement trend occurred last year. We issue much fewer licenses to replace or repair exported products and we are glad that is so," he said at an intercom conference on state defense orders at the House of Government.
There are still problems with the quality of exported Russian defense products, such as insufficient after-sales services, Fomin said.
"We and our colleagues are working to upgrade normative acts. A presidential decree is being drafted to entitle plants to open their service centers and to import military products for their own needs," the service head noted.
