MOSCOW. Jan 23 (Interfax) - A witness to the Defense Ministry corruption case has died, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax.
"A high-ranking employee of StroyImpulse, a company executing orders of several departments, among them the Defense Ministry, died in the end of last week," he said.
Media reported on Wednesday that a high-ranking employee of a capital repairs company died at his dacha on January 20 after being questioned in the Oboronservice case.
Investigation of major embezzlement episodes at Oboronservice controlled by the Russian Defense Ministry began in October 2012. The Russian president dismissed Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov on October 6 "to create conditions for an impartial inquiry."
