Georgia PM attends Russian breakfast in Davos, says Georgia interested in Russian investment

TBILISI. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili attended a Russian breakfast at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Friday.

Ivanishvili was introduced to Russian businessmen by Sberbank (RTS: SBER) CEO German Gref, Georgian media reported. The meeting proceeded behind closed doors. Journalists were not allowed in.

Meanwhile, businessman David Yakobashvili, who took part in the breakfast, said Ivanishvili spoke to the Russian businessmen. "He spoke about change in Georgia and he assured us that Georgia is interested in Russian investments and is open for cooperation," Yakobashvili said.

He welcomed the New Georgian government's plans to establish relations with Russia, saying that this policy will bring good results. "This will of course stimulate economic relations between the two countries," Yakobashvili said.
