ASTANA. Feb 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Four employees of the physical chemistry laboratory of Russia's Yuzhny Space Center were injured in a traffic accident at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, a Baikonur source told Interfax-AVN on Friday.
"As employees of the center, which is controlled by the Center for Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Operations, headed to work on Friday, the bus carrying them was damaged as a result of severe icy conditions," the source said.
"The accident occurred near the Moskovskaya railway station. Four people were injured. They were admitted to the town's hospitals. Their condition is being analyzed," he said.
The cosmodrome's physical chemistry laboratory is responsible for assessing the quality of rocket fuel components.
