Russia against military buildup in region under pretext of fighting N. Korea nuke threat - source

MOSCOW. Feb 1 (Interfax) - A Russian Foreign Ministry source has reiterated Moscow's objection to measures aimed at enhancing military potential in the Asia-Pacific region to an unreasonable extent under the pretext of countering North Korea's nuclear threat.

"We would not like to see the deployment of extra military contingents and systems of weapons that would be more than sufficient in the region under the pretext of the need to take security measures in response to North Korea's nuclear missile threat," the source told Interfax on Friday.
