MOSCOW. Feb 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Maj. Gen. Vladimir Benediktov has been introduced to the Air Force command as the new commander of the Air Force's Military-Transport Aviation, a Defense Ministry spokesman told Interfax-AVN on Friday.
"Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Viktor Bondarev has presented Military Transport Aviation Commander Maj. Gen. Vladimir Benediktov with the personal distinctive standard," the spokesmen said.
"This is the symbol of the Military Transport Aviation commander's military duty and personal responsibility for the force entrusted on him," Bondarev said at a ceremony. "Military-Transport Aviation is active in the main strategic sectors, fulfilling the most serious tasks in the interests of our Motherland and Armed Forces," the Air Force commander said.
