Russia to showcase advanced aircraft systems at Aero India show

MOSCOW. Feb 1 (Interfax-AVN) - More than 400 companies from 26 countries will participate in the Aero India show to be held in Bangalore from February 6 to 10, the Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service (FSVTS) said in a statement.

"Thirty-seven Russian organizations will take part in the show. Eighteen of them will provide information about 180 military exhibits. The organizer of the single Russian exhibition is the state corporation Rostech. Russia will be officially represented by a delegation, led by FSVTS Director Alexander Fomin," according to the statement received by Interfax-AVN on Friday.

The FSVTS sees Russia's participation in Aero India as an important stage in promoting and strengthening military-technical cooperation ties with foreign partners, it says.

MIG Corporation will demonstrate a combat employment simulator of the MiG-29SMT plane, the press release says. Models of Sukhoi Su-30MK, Su-32, Su-35, MiG-29M2, MiG-29KUB, MiG-29SMT, MiG-35, Yakovlev Yak-130, Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A, MS-21, Sukhoi Superjet 100, Beriev Be-200, and helicopters Mil Mi-35, Mi-171, Kamov Ka-50, Ka-52 and Ka-226 will be demonstrated.

Information will be offered to visitors about aviation engines of various types, air weapon systems, onboard radars, optical-electronic sighting systems and anti-aircraft weapons systems.
