Almaz-Antey to display Tor-M2KM missile systems at Aero India show

MOSCOW. Feb 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Almaz-Antey corporation will demonstrate its Tor-M2KM small-range missile system in models and posters, with combat and technical means in module form, in a debut showing at the Aero India international show, to be held in Bangalore on February 6 to 11.

"The system has been developed by Almaz-Antey's subsidiary, the Izhevsk electromechnical plant Kupol, on the basis of a large number of advanced technological and design ideas," Almaz-Antey said in a statement received by Interfax-AVN on Friday.

The system can be located on various carriers: motor vehicles, semitrailers, trailers and large decks. It can also be stationary. This versatility widens the range of its employment and tasks to be fulfilled, and cuts related expenses.

The Russian exhibit will also include more than 20 military-purpose products, including the S-300BM (Antey-2500) long-range surface-to-air missile system, the Buk-M2E medium range surface-to-air missile system, the Tor-M2E small-range surface-to-air missile system, automated control systems, radars and repair and diagnosing equipment," the statement says.

Almaz-Antey's exhibition will involve representatives of developer and service companies, including Almaz-Antey, Kupol, the Urals Mechanical Plant, and Granit defense company.
