MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Russia suspects Middle East Quartet partners of deliberately deferring a ministerial conference.
"As you know, Russia has repeatedly proposed to intensify the work of the Middle East mediating quartet, primarily in the ministerial format, for the past few hours. Special representatives of the Quartet members keep working, but we think that such events are insufficient," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich told a Thursday press briefing in Moscow.
"Yet our partners are late to present their position on the ministerial conference," he said.
