MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Moscow believes there are good chances for attaining positive results at negotiations between Iran and the six world powers in Almaty on February 26 and is calling on all participants in these talks to take them as seriously as they can.
"Of course, there are chances. Moreover, these are not just chances but all of the necessary preconditions. They have been provided through hard work of the delegations, including the Iranian one, and the entire P5+1 at the previous rounds," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told journalists on Thursday.
Ryabkov will represent Russia at the full-format negotiations between the six powers and Iran in Kazakhstan on February 26.
The time that has passed since the previous round in Moscow in June 2012 has not been wasted, he said.
"I think the talk in Almaty will not be just circling around but will continue the process from the point where we stopped in Moscow. We can't waste time. Too much time has been wasted, and we would like to urge our Iranian friends to approach these negotiations as seriously and as flexibly as they can. I am sure the same will be demonstrated by the P5+1, with all of members of which we are maintaining dialogue," Ryabkov said.
