Man suspected of organizing 2010 Vladikavkaz market bombing detained in Ingushetia

NAZRAN. Feb 11 (Interfax) - A resident of Ingushetia has been detained in a special operation on suspicion of playing a role in the organization of the bombing at the central market in Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia, in 2010.

"Law enforcement agencies have detained Ingush resident Yakub Khashagulgov, who is suspected of involvement in activities of illegal armed groups and the organization of a terrorist attack on the territory of the multipurpose market in Vladikavkaz, which claimed the lives of several tens of people," an Ingush law enforcement source told Interfax.

In the process of Khashagulgov's detention, police seized a non-lethal pistol remodeled for using live rounds from him.

The man has been transported to a Vladikavkaz pretrial detention facility and is undergoing investigative procedures, the source said.
