KRASNOYARSK. Feb 11 (Interfax) - An elderly resident of the town of Minusinsk in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is suspected of calling for public unrest, violence against Jews and quoting Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf, the press office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Prosecutor's Office said on Friday.
The preliminary investigation has showed that in early 2011 the 65-year-old Minusinsk resident established a public organization "People's Volunteer Corps Named after K. Minin and D. Pozharsky" and didn't register it.
"Between May 2011 and February 2012 the suspect from time to time held meetings of his organization in various apartments in the town," the office said.
During these meetings the man called for unrest, violence against Jews and distributed texts quoting Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf, the press release said.
An expert said that the man's speeches contained appeals for extremist activities.
The Krasnoyarsk Territory Federal Security Service has opened a criminal case for "public appeals for carrying out extremist activities".
"As of now the suspect has not pleaded guilty. The investigation is in progress", the Krasnoyarsk Territory Federal Security Service told Interfax.
